Rum Cay signs major contract with local company
Montana Holdings Ltd., developers of the upscale 900-acre Rum Cay Resort Marina resort and residential community in Rum Cay, last week signed a substantial contract with local heavy equipment company Spurtree Trucking & Equipment Services Ltd., for excavation and site preparation services.
Deputy Director General of Tourism David Johnson, liaison for Family Island projects, was on hand for the contract signing and applauded Montana Holdings.
"The Ministry of Tourism has had as one of our primary goals increasing the benefits to the local community through the development of tourism-related projects," Johnson said. Present at the official signing last week (left to right) are Thor Ibsen, chief operating officer, Montana Holdings Ltd., and Sean Bowe, president, Spurtree Trucking & Equipment Services Ltd.
