There is a new man at the top of one of The Bahamas' best known financial services companies, as Citco Fund Services (Bahamas) Limited announces Dirk Simmons has secured the managing director's chair.
Citco is a division of the Citco Group of Companies, a global financial services organization which provides banking, administrative, fiduciary and financial services in over 35 countries.
Simmons joined Citco in June 2000 as vice president. Prior to joining Citco he was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he specialized in the investment and bank and trust sectors.
He holds a LL.B. (Hons.) Law degree from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom, a Bachelors degree (Hons.) in Accounting & Economics from Belmont University in the United States of America and he is the holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation.
He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) and he is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of England and Wales (London ACIB).
Citco is one of the largest independent administrators of hedge funds in the world with offices around the globe as well as The Bahamas.
The company began operations in The Bahamas in 1994 and have consistently been ranked Best in Class" and "Top-Rated" in recognized global industry surveys of hedge fund administrators for both single manager funds and funds of hedge funds.
