Earle Bethell gets Baha Mar marketing post By STAFF WRITER, Guardian Business Desk
Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. has appointed Earle Bethell to the position of Director of Marketing, The Bahamas. In his new role, Bethell will be responsible for the creation, development and implementation of on-island marketing strategies for Baha Mar Resorts Ltd., including driving incremental business to the company's affiliated properties, which are the Wyndham Nassau Resort, Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, Cable Beach Golf Course and the Crystal Palace Casino. Bethell will work closely with senior management of each of the properties to increase overall revenues sourced from the local community. In addition, Bethell will manage Baha Mar's off-site marketing locations and marketing teams to promote not only Baha Mar's properties but also the future Baha Mar resort complex and its residential products. "Bethell has been a part of this family of properties for more than 20 years and has witnessed the recent transformation each has undergone," said Richard English, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. "Bethell's first-hand experience, historical knowledge and familiarity with the project's future plans provide a valuable and much-needed local perspective to our efforts, while his passion and pride in Nassau and Cable Beach will contribute significantly to the project's success." The appointment follows the departure of other key Bahamian execs from Baha Mar, including Michael Hooper, senior VP of operations. Most recently, Bethell served as General Manager of the Wyndham Nassau Resort, with that position. Prior to that, he also served as General Manager of the Nassau Beach Hotel and as Deputy General Manager of the former Radisson Cable Beach Resort, which after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation and re-branding, is now the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort. Bethell started his hospitality career in 1984 as front desk manager at what was then the Wyndham Cable Beach Resort. About Baha Mar, Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. is the visionary and developer of the planned Baha Mar Resort, a world-class destination resort project. Baha Mar's principals also own the current Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, Wyndham Nassau Resort, Crystal Palace Casino, and Cable Beach Golf Course. |
