Sanpin Motors Limited, the Nissan Distributor and Dealer in The Bahamas, launched its newest Nissan model, the Nissan Almera, on Friday, February 3.
Present at the launch, which was held at Sanpin Motors, were professionals in the banking, insurance and fleet sectors awaiting the unveiling of the new vehicle.
The entry-level luxury sedan is produced in Japan. It has a contemporary interior and exterior design and has improved information, control and impact safety as compared with other models in its class.
Although the Nissan Almera is not a new car to the Nissan company, this will be its first time being distributed in The Bahamas.
"We at Sanpin Motors waited for a number of years to bring the Almera into the Bahamian market, to make sure the vehicle met the quality and reliability standards that Bahamian consumers had grown accustomed to," said Andrew Johnson, Marketing Manager.
The Almera is one of many cars being introduced to The Bahamas. "Nissan Motor Company plans on introducing two vehicles per year for the next five years, meeting the demands of the customer," said Mr Johnson
At the unveiling, Mr Johnson also explained that Nissan will only be introducing the finest brands in the future, to comply with the company's new slogan Shift to Future.
"This New Brand Image will meet what customers have come to expect in a vehicle and car company. The Almera is just one of these models that fits this New Brand Image," he said.
