    New style of shop

By Scott Armstrong ~ Guardian Business Editor ~ scott@nasguard.com:

Nassau is to get a new fashion store - but only for 17 days - as Primadona launches what it calls its first "pop-up" shop.

The fashion consultancy company, which hosts events at locations around the island rather than simply running a single store, will open its temporary shop this December 4th.

The boutique will stay open until Christmas Eve, showcasing a range of apparel and designer brands in Prince George Plaza, Bay Street upstairs opposite Lum's Iguana Café and will welcome shoppers Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.

A portion of the proceeds from the first day's sales will be donated to single-family mothers who want to open a bank account for the first time.

"We are excited to offer women in the area the opportunity to shop Primadona in a store environment for the very first time," said owner Tyrina Neely.

"The experience offers something luxurious and unexpected, both in terms of variety, as well as the surprises and social networking for customers."

This new experiential concept adopted by Primadona is a temporary Pre-Christmas showcase of contemporary collections open to consumers for a limited time span. High fashion designer brands such as Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Calypso, Ali Ro, Akiko, John Hardy, and La Rok will be available while quantities last.

Customers can browse the racks in the "pop up" store to purchase an array of women's clothing and accessories at prices up to 60 per cent off the US retail selling price.

"The Prince George Plaza downtown is the perfect location for Primadona to locate its "pop up" store, and we are delighted to be known as the only location of this kind in the country," said Neely. "The brand will resonate with area shoppers of influence and offer a new experience for shoppers during this holiday season."
