There is a place Beyond the edge of the Caribbean Sea, Ethereal, Beyond the dense details And 'important' matters Of Nation-States Customized by citizens, slavishly and repeatedly resurrecting, And re-living, Unreleased dramas of the past,
It is a place Above and beyond the shimmering ancient turquoise blue waters, A place where vortices of love Make the music of the spheres seem Like clanging cymbals in the hands of unschooled Indigo children,
A place where divine light Melts and illuminates un-serving emotions Where thoughts, Pregnant with pain Simply evaporate,
A place untouched by words, Unreachable by cell-phone, Disconnected from hectic internet communications,
A place beyond cellular experience, A place somewhere beyond place itself, Approached only through the spacious portals Of the boundless, immeasurable, and aluminiferous imaginations of soul-travelers Propelled from moment to moment By the celestial mind-forces of great spirits and master-teachers,
There you will find me, Meditating in the still silence Of consciousness energy, Surrounded By standing love-wave-vibrations Reveling amongst spiraling ultra-light bodies Free from the limitations of ordinary, And extra-ordinary matters of fact,
Yes, here you will find me Fully awake To the omniscient light Of you.

Now is the time to be who you truly are. Now it is possible to break the karmic cycle of the last 26 thousand years on earth. Now is the time to stop hiding your light. Many of us think, well, our ego tells us: if we hide, keep quiet, say as little as possible, give away as little as possible about who we are, what we really care about, where we are going, and why, then we will not appear to be a threat to people around us, and they'll leave us alone, stop bothering us, and, we'll slip in through the back door of achievement and enter some mansion called 'success' and live happily ever after. Some of us can see that's not going to happen, so in despair we've just given up. Some of us are waiting, looking around and waiting for some third option, whatever that is. We've been talking about our brains, our sub-conscious programs, how to transform them, and, how transformation at this level can help us to be powerful co-creators of a new Bahamas, a new world, and a new universe. Today we continue our brain talk. Our brains form a million new connections for every second of our lives. How we live our lives creates profound changes in the structure and connectivity of our brains. Last year, in 2005, the Society of Neurosciences in Washington DC invited a leading religious figure to open the annual meeting for the first time. The leader they selected was the Dalai Lama. Significantly, the Dalai Lama spoke on 'Ethics and Responsibility in Scientific Research. He focused on research which showed how meditation can change the structure of our a and our every day activities. Studies, presented at that same conference, showed that certain regions of the brain, such as the Pre-Frontal Cortex (important for higher level thinking and planning) and the Right Insula (a region of the brain which integrates emotions, thought, and senses) were thicker in experienced meditators. The thickening, researchers believe, is caused by new connections, support cells, branches or blood vessels, which is opposite to the changes seen in aging and degeneration. There are a number of other studies supporting the idea that meditating and 'mindfulness', and the creative arts affect brain structure at both a macroscopic and microscopic level, and, that these structural affects are associated with the quality of our lives. This kind of marriage of science and spirituality is just the beginning of the story. Spirituality is intimately linked with science, and, together, the combination of spirituality and science creates a new context for human development, self-healing and self-determination. Spirituality has nothing to do with religion. Science is about understanding creation. Spirituality is the art of being one with all of creation. Indeed, most recent scientific facts about cells and the wisdom of cells suggests that every idea ever thought and every awareness ever generated are even now contained in the universe as information or memory. If this is so, then, co-creating your world is as much an art, as a science, and, it is as much a practical process, something that can be learned, as a spiritual process. People often ask me: 'Desiree, how do you do all of the things you do?' How do you sing and write and read, and give talks, and research and paint, and write songs, and stories, and fiction and all sorts of other things. How have you managed to do so much in such a short time? For sometime now, I have held back on sharing all of my knowledge and skills on this subject. The time was not right. Recently, I have been guided to teach certain techniques of guided meditation which have helped me to escape many levels of my subconscious programming, and, more importantly, have helped me to live in what I call 'Now-time'. This, for me has been a spiritual, scientific, and creative process. I will be conducting an Introductory Meditating seminar during the first weekend of December with a DVD presentation and audio-visual materials for those who want to learn how to live in 'Now-Time'. More information about this will be posted on my website, www.desireecox.com during the week and at the end of next week's article.
