Police have charged 31-year-old Jason Glinton with the murder of an unknown man.

Prosecutors allege that Glinton, of Devil’s Point, Cat Island, killed the man between October 5 and 18.

Police are reportedly awaiting DNA results to confirm the identity of the man who is believed to be Fortis Moncur.

Moncur went missing on October 5. Police discovered a decomposed body when they went to investigate a strange odor through a track road on Cat Island on October 18.

Glinton was not required to enter a plea to the charge at his arraignment yesterday before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez.

His lawyer, Murrio Ducille, said the charge was defective since the alleged victim was not named.

Also appearing in the same court was a teenage boy charged with the murder of Howard Gregory Sands.

The 17-year-old was not required to enter a plea to charges that he bashed in Sands’ head between October 19 and 21.

The teen’s name and address have been withheld to protect his identity.

Sands, 54, was found partially naked in an abandoned bus through Kenwood Street on October 21.

Gomez ordered the juvenile held at Her Majesty’s Prisons without bail.
