Bahamian music sensation partners with Cable Bahamas

Rising Bahamian music star Angelique Sabrina has reached an agreement to represent Cable Bahamas’ full line of products and services.

Head of Marketing for Cable Bahamas David Burrows told Guardian Business that the addition of Sabrina to the team will open up doors for younger Bahamians who will be future customers, adding that her presence is an ideal fit for the direction the company is heading.

“It’s extremely important. We are a young company, and we are bringing in young customers; and we are facilitating what is going to be happening in the world over the next few years. We have the young people market that’s emerging, and they are going to be our new customers. And to have the new face of our customers represented in our ads is an extremely important thing.”

Burrows’ comments came during a press conference held at Cable Bahamas’ headquarters on Wednesday revealing the partnership with Sabrina. The multi-year deal will bring the 15-year-old recording artist at the forefront of multiple advertisements, with the first one expected to launch in two weeks.

Her most recent single “Stop Sign” is currently being played on over 50 radio stations in the Unites States and her total accumulated radio reach has surpassed the 11 million mark.

White Ocean Entertainment (Sabrina’s management company) Partner Gary Bernstein said the buzz surrounding her bodes well for The Bahamas and her continued exposure will be a beneficial asset to

Cable Bahamas.

“The entire international entertainment industry has its eyes on The Bahamas, thanks to the rapid rise of artist Angelique Sabrina,” Bernstein said. “Her social reach on YouTube is approaching one million views and her combined social media fans and followers have reached 200,000.”

Cable Bahamas has a strong track record of using Bahamians to promote products, including Debbie Ferguson, the National Dance Company and Dana Ferguson, among others. The innovative approach to marketing has been recognized with international awards in the industry.

Burrows added that combining Sabrina with Cable Bahamas will be win-win situation for everybody and sharing the similar vision makes it a seamless fit.

“Angelique Sabrina is a young outstanding talent, with determination, an innovative style and a commitment to being the best at everything she does,” Burrows said. “These are all similar characteristics that drive Cable Bahamas as we continue to revolutionize technology, telecommunications and entertainment products in The Bahamas, so we see many parallels between who we are and who Angelique is.”
