The John Bull Group recently presented the Bahamas Swimming Federation (BSF) with a check for $5,000, in support of the 2012 CARIFTA Swimming Championships.

The BSF is the governing body for competitive swimming in The Bahamas, and had the responsibility to host, organize, finance and officiate the CARIFTA championships, which wrapped up last night at the Betty Kelly Kenning National Swim Complex.

The event has been approved by the International Swimming Federation (FINA), the world’s governing body for the five aquatic disciplines of swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized and open water swimming, to serve as an official Olympic qualifying meet.

This year’s event played host to approximately 500 swimmers and team officials from 22 countries.
