Local sailor Mark Knowles was honored by the National Family Island Regatta Committee for his role in sailing over the years. Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes made the presentation.

The National Family Island Regatta Committee honored sailor Leslie ‘Buzzy’ Rolle during the closing ceremony of the regatta. Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes (right) made the presentation to Rolle.
Crew members from the Lady Eunice receive their prize for winning the overall title in Class ‘C’. They finished with 78 points.
The Lady Sonia won the overall title in the ‘B’ Class with 29 points. The captain and crew received their prize from Bahamian legend Sir Durward Knowles (fourth from right) and Free National Movement (FNM) candidate for the area Phenton Neymour (third from right).
The captain and crew from the Lady Muriel received their prize from Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes (second from right), for winning the national title in the ‘A’ Class. The Lady Muriel scored 21 points to take home the overall title.
