The Public Treasury Arts Program opened its second annual exhibition last Friday night under the theme of “Nurturing Brotherhood” to great praise. The exhibition, which paired 16 established male Bahamian artists with 17 student Bahamian artists in a mentorship exercise, displayed the mentor and appentice artwork side-by-side. Through encouraging positive male mentorship, the exercise effectively fostered the creative confidence and artistic practices of an emergeing generation of Bahamian artists. The exhibition continues through the summer at the Pubic Treasury Building on East Street north. *For all remaining images, check out our online gallery for “Nurturing Brotherhood” at www.thenassauguardian.com. |
