| Remembering a fine Bahamian |

Dear Editor,
I was saddened to learn of the death of my friend and former colleague Telcine Turner-Rolle, an outstanding educator, playwright, poet and productive citizen. I had the pleasure of working with Telcine at Bahamas Teachers’ College as well as being a fellow student at University of the West Indies. There are many positive remarks one could make about Telcine (Sonia Fanner did it best in Saturday’s Art&Culture Section), but a positive I will always remember were her uncompromising standards at every level. Old students of Bahamas Teachers’ College will certainly remember her for that. I wish to take this opportunity to extent to her family, especially James and Arien, my deepest sympathy.
