A court has set a trial date for a couple accused of a love-triangle murder. Benjamin McPhee and Shanice Rolle were arraigned separately yesterday before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs in the bashing death of Elex Tina McKenzie in March 2011. McPhee, who lived with McKenzie, was reportedly also dating Rolle. McKenzie’s body was found near a park in Gleniston Gardens. McPhee is still in custody but Rolle was released on bail earlier this year. Isaacs assigned the case to Justice Bernard Turner and set a trial date of June 24, 2013. Accused murderer Jermaine Taylor also received a trial date for the 2011 shooting death of Michael McIntosh. Isaacs set the case down for trial before Justice Roy Jones on October 28, 2013. Taylor was further remanded to prison. |
