| Anglican Chorale concert to aid restoration of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church |

The Anglican Chorale will come together with their friends in “A Celebration of Praise and Thanksgiving,” a variety concert at St. Agnes Anglican Church on Baillou Hill Road in aid of the restoration of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Fresh Creek, Andros, which was destroyed by fire. Performing will be soloists and instrumentalists Osano Neely, James Hutcheson Jr., John Darville, Michael Zonicle, Rowena Munroe and B’Angelo Cartwright. The Highgrove Singers, directed by Adrian Archer, the Bahamas Christian Chorale, directed by Darville “Sonny” Walkine, The Sons of Thunder, directed by Herbert Scott and the Anglican Youth Chorale, directed by Kaylen Jervis, will also be performing. The Friday, June 29 concert will be staged on Friday, under the patronage of the Right Reverend Laish Z. Boyd, Sr. and Mrs. Boyd at 8 p.m. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken in aid of the church’s restoration efforts.
The performers Neely has had extensive exposure worldwide in the music industry, performing with music icons such as Benny Hinn, Rev. Donnie McClurkin and Sheila E. Being. Being a member of both the Bahamas National Children’s Choir and the Boys’ Choir of The Bahamas has also given him many priceless opportunities. Neely has also performed at many churches and events locally, including the enthronement service for Bishop Laish Boyd in 2009. Hutcheson currently serves as principal trumpet player for the Bethel Baptist Orchestra and lead trumpet player for the Sapphire Jazz Entertainment. Cartwright has been able to get his hands in many musical projects. He was a vocalist in the College of The Bahamas choir, and vocalist and arranger in the U.S. 105 voices. Apart from choral works, he has also participated in local master classes featuring jazz and classical performers, and has also been involved with The College of The Bahamas Concert Band. His services have also involved him as a featured artist and teacher in multiple school works and church organizations, and he is presently a musician at Holy Cross Anglican Church.
