Trial dates set for murder accused

A teenager accused of murder received a 2014 trial date yesterday.

Cleophas Clarke, 19, appeared before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs in relation to the January 22, 2012 shooting death of Wing Hong Chan.

He is also accused of robbing Chan of a Samsung Galaxy, worth $750.

Clarke, who is represented by Greg Hilton, will go to trial on February 25, 2014 before Justice Bernard Turner.

Ormand Leon, 22, was arraigned for the July 10, 2011 shooting death of Francisco Hanna.

His trial date is set for September 2, 2013 before Justice Turner. Leon requested a court appointed lawyer.

George Humes, 28, is accused of beating Jason Brown to death at Homestead Street on February 22, 2011.

Humes received a tentative trial date of September 15, 2012 before Justice Vera Watkins.

All of the accused are in custody.
