Inexpensive solution for stubborn stains
Published: May 06, 2013
Having to stage and clean a home for sale requires time and money. In today's economy, money may not be readily available to fix your home but there are many inexpensive products on the market which can be very helpful when cleaning those stubborn stains.
For example, did you know that the common lubricant known as WD40 has over 2,000 different uses?
Using WD40 is a very inexpensive way to bring back those tired looking stainless steel appliances to almost brand new, shiny conditions. WD40 also removes crayons and gum from walls, floors, carpets, wallpaper and almost any other place the little ones have used as a canvas for their masterpieces.
Tile floors can also benefit from this multi-tasking product. For example, use a little WD40 to remove scuff marks, dry paint, marks left by chair feet and rust stains from ceramic tiles. Hardwood floors can also benefit if you need to remove nail polish, permanent marker or coffee stains.
Let us not forget the bathrooms. Try using WD40 to help you remove grime from grout on bathroom floors and rust around the faucets.
Most of the time, a good painting and deep cleaning is all a home needs in order to be placed competitively on the market. Sometimes the small issues in your home will impact the buyers negatively. If you are on a tight budget the above ideas may be the perfect solution to start helping you prepare your home for sale.
