Man dies in hospital two weeks after shooting

A man shot in the stomach last month has died in the hospital, police reported over the weekend.
Gregory Miller, 26, of Alexandria Boulevard, Nassau Village, died around 1 a.m. on Saturday.
His death pushed the murder count for the year to 37.
Miller was walking on Cordeaux Avenue on April 20 around 2 a.m. when a man approached him and shot him, according to police.
The motive for the shooting was unknown, and police are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information on this murder.
The country recorded its 36th murder for the year on April 28.
Morgan Elizabeth Wells, 22, died en route to hospital less than 30 minutes after she was shot during a car chase.
Police have not determined whether she was the intended target.
Police also reported on the weekend that a 25-year-old man was in hospital after he was stabbed at a home in Emerald Gardens.
According to police, the incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Friday, but details were unclear.
Two men were being questioned in relation to the stabbing.
