Published: May 30, 2013
Lively Stone Church of God’s membership is excited about the new era in the church’s development as veteran educator, Angela Pratt-Rolle will be installed as the new pastor of the church.
The membership is proud of the spiritual and infrastructural foundation set by its founding pastor, the late Bishop Godfrey K. Hepburn, and now looks to the future under the pastorate of Pratt-Rolle.
The installation service for Pratt-Rolle will take place on Sunday, June 2 at 3 p.m. at the church located on Knowles Drive, off Tonique Williams Darling Highway.
Pratt-Rolle is a licensed minister by the Highway Church of God Bahamas and has held numerous positions over the years within the organization, including general youth secretary and district lady for the District of Cat Island.
She will become the second native of Cat Island and second pastor of Lively Stone Church of God, a church that was led by Hepburn for 14 years. Pratt-Rolle will be the third woman in the Highway Church of God Bahamas’ fellowship to pastor a church.
Pratt-Rolle is known as a disciplined individual with a keen sense of administrative awareness. Her biblical study and experience has been under the tutelage of many stalwarts of the gospel in The Bahamas, transcending denominational lines.
At the age of 14, she accepted the Lord as her personal savior during a revival in Cat Island conducted by the then principal of the New Bight School, Bishop Teuton Stubbs, pastor-emeritus of the Southland Church Of God.
Pratt-Rolle has served as a teacher and administrator in the public school system for many years. Her last post was as principal of T.A. Thompson Junior School. After her years of service in education, Pratt-Rolle became a Family Island administrator with the Department of Local Government, and she is married to Edward Rolle. The couple has four children.
