For the 30th consecutive year, Elite is organizing the most prestigious modeling contest in the world offering thousands of girls between the age of 14 and 22, the opportunity to achieve their dream and to follow in the footsteps of top models such as Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bundchen, Sigrid Agren and Constance Jablonski.

The Elite Bahamas team launched the Bahamas Model Search in aid of The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation.

The Bahamas team will be touring The Bahamas – Grand Bahama, Exuma and New Providence – with three castings July 20 to July 28. The aim is to offer a maximum number of opportunities for girls to participate in the most renowned modeling contest and become part of the world’s most prestigious agency.

At the end of The Bahamas tour, 25 to 30 contestants will be selected to participate in the national casting that will be held on August 11 at A Stones Throw Away hideaway. The winners will be selected based on their photogenic qualities, their personality and their natural beauty but also for their potential to correspond to current fashion trends. At the end of the day, the Elite Model Look jury will choose the 10 to 12 contestants who will participate in The Bahamas final. The ultimate goal is to win a place in the prestigious world final bringing together the 70 girls selected in 60 countries, and to secure a three-year contract with the Elite agency.

To take part in one of the Elite Model Look castings, applicants must be female between the ages of 14 and 22 and at least 5 feet 8 inches tall and have $1 to donate to the Bahamas Heart Foundation.

Applicants must register online at www.elitemodelookbahamas.com before July 12 to start the casting process. All registered models must present two recent pictures — a head shot and a full body shot and the donation to the Bahamas Heart Foundation at their casting location. If they are under 18, they must bring a parental authorization letter.

Applicants should wear little to no makeup – mascara and lip gloss is acceptable – and wear something that shows off their figure such as skinny jeans, leggings, short pants or skirt and a basic solid color tee-shirt without graphics and high heels.

Casting will take place on Saturday, July 20 at Sushi Rokkan, Old Fort Bay Plaza, New Providence on Sunday, July 21 at Peace & Plenty Resort, Exuma, and on Sunday, July 28 at the Grand Lucayan Beach and Golf Resort, Grand Bahama.
