There’s no better way to make a party memorable than with bubbly and cigars and for its first anniversary, The Bahamas’ hottest hip-hop, reggae, pop and R&B station – Hot – will celebrate with the ultimate bash dubbed “Bubbles & Smokes”.

The affair for the grown and sexy is being hosted by the radio station with the hottest personalities – Naughty, M.J., Randy C. and J. Chris. And the mix deejays — CRX, Energy and Beats – will spin the hottest tunes.

With performances by Irate, RappQuelle, Motive, Garnel Storr, Hot Programming Director Tony Williams says they are celebrating their first birthday in a major way on Friday, August 16 at the Beach Club Café, Sandyport. Hot officially turned one on Tuesday, July 30.

“It’s going to be bubbles and smokes – champagne and cigars – so you have to be 21 and over to attend this party,” said Williams. “The ideal person for this event is the young adult who loves the kind of music played on Hot. And it will be the ultimate party because no party like this has been done. We are celebrating in a major way.”

To kick off the fun, each patron will get an initial cigar and glass of bubbly free.

Fabulous prizes will be given away during the evening – two round trip tickets for two to Ft. Lauderdale compliments of Bahamasair; Comfort Suites accommodation for two nights; GoGoFlorida.us and Dollar/Thrifty car rental; John Bull gift cards; movie tickets; Domino’s Pizza gift certificates; gas vouchers; video-on-demand coupons; HD boxes and Cash N’ Go prizes. Patrons are asked to scan a portion of their ticket stub either before the event or during the event for an opportunity to win a prize.

The party that is being sponsored by Barefoot Wines kicks off at 8 p.m. until you say when. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Hot 91.7FM in The Nassau Guardian building, Carter Street, Oakes Field, or online at hot917fm.com for $15, courtesy of a promotional code.

Williams said “Bubbles & Smokes” is expected to be such a hit that it is anticipated that it will become a monthly event hosted by Hot.
