Get prepared for unexpected viewings

Storage is a very important feature to buyers, especially those who are looking to purchase a smaller home or condo.
One trick of the trade is for sellers to take half the stuff not being used out of the closets, store the items and then neatly organize what has been left in the closet.
Closet organizers are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. A clean and tidy closet will certainly impress buyers.
Another important feature buyers always look for in a home or condo is lighting.
Believe it or not, a well lit home is almost as important as the location.
Maximize the natural light in your home by cleaning all your windows and mosquitoes screens, and taking down the dirty old drapes and replacing them with inexpensive blinds.
By pulling your blinds up and turning on all your interior lights before showings, your home will look bright, cheery, and inviting.
Preparing your home for sale does not have to be an expensive exercise.
You can expect a higher price and a faster sale by simply cleaning and organizing your yard and home ahead of time.
Remember, your house needs to be “show-ready” at all times – you never know when your qualified buyer is going to walk through your door.
It is also very important to make sure your home or condo is available for showings whenever a buyer requests a showing and it must be in tip-top shape. Don’t leave dishes in the sink, keep the dishwasher cleaned out, and the bathrooms must be sparkling.
Last minute showing requests by buyers are the norm in our industry, and you need to be prepared to showcase your property at all times.
