A myth about leadership

Dear Editor,

Here is myth number five: Bahamians, like Americans, think that Barack Obama and Perry Christie run their countries. That is not true.

Their respective jobs are to explain government’s intentions to you and the public, so as to give the appearance that everything is being conducted in our “democratic” way. The level of information is on a scale of one to six – prime minister and president being number three from the top and the public is number six. By the time it gets to we the public, all important decisions have already been finalized. Our governments only seem to be participants in the decisions so that members of the public think they are involved in their future well-being. That is not true.

It’s like Obama in the bailout situation. Ninety-nine percent of the American people said no; Obama said no; Congress said no; but it was already decided by the 300 people who control the world. So it was done.

Thanks to the new world order, the one world government, we all are going to have to change our way of thinking and understanding starting now. Get used to it.
