Two brothers have been charged with an attack on a police officer following a traffic accident on the Charles Saunders Highway.
PC Jermaine Knowles had stopped to lend assistance to his colleague WPC Bain, who was injured in a collision on the thoroughfare. But according to investigators, as Knowles helped Bain he was set upon by a group of four men who accused him of causing the crash.
Auldrin Fox, 24, and Sterling Fox, 26, both of Jacaranda Street, Pinewood Gardens, pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing grievous bodily harm to Knowles on October 12. Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez set the men's bail at $5,000 and assigned the case to Magistrate Subu Swain. They will appear before Magistrate Swain later this month for a trial date to be set.
Two other men, Lamond McKenzie, 21, and Michael Fox, 20, both also of Jacaranda Street, Pinewood Gardens, have been previously charged with the incident.
