GB woman faces charge under Shop License Act

A 57-year-old Grand Bahama resident is in police custody for allegedly operating a shop from her home without the required license.

Officers attached to the Central Division, acting on a tip, discovered a large quantity of clothing, snack food items, tennis shoes and alcoholic beverages at the woman's home.

The search warrant was executed on Wednesday, around 1:45 p.m. said police. The goods, which were confiscated, were valued at approximately $8,000. The woman is expected to be charge in a magistrates court in connection with the matter.
