Crying wolf with Cuba
LOOKING IN...It is clear that the propaganda drums and the bombastic posture and hypocrisy are now in full swing by the United States Government against the Republic of Cuba.
The comical, double standard against the Cuban political society is now being unfolded by the U.S. Government, again, Machiavellian-style.
It is laughable and distasteful when you read and see negative words such as Nazi, oppressed, antiquated and corruption levied against President Fidel Castro by the U.S. Government. One is even more convinced that the President of Cuba has made it very clear to the U.S. that their business in Cuba is their business and the business of the U.S. is the business of the U.S.
The world recognises that the Organization of American States (OAS) cannot, in the legal framework, condemn any action against Cuba or pass any resolution against Cuba. The attempt to pass a resolution against Cuba is clearly a kangaroo, draconian act of desperation by the U.S. because it miserably failed at the United Nations. Now it wants the OAS, which the U.S. controls like puppets, to do a clown act against a small state who chose to be a socialist, independent and transparent nation.
So, anybody in the Western Hemisphere who calls himself socialist or communist is deemed to be condemned and it isn't democracy. Democracy only fits the hats of the multi-national corporations' wicked attempt to exploit the consumer in the interest of the new form of neo-elitists. If you are black, God help you; if you're Spanish, you're out and any other ethnic group just gets stamped on and this is demonstrated every second.
So, the columnists may continue to write against Cuba but the fact remains that Cuba is the most successful story in this hemisphere, which has stood the wickedest form of economic terrorism, better coined as the U.S. embargo.
The U.S. is now conveniently re-inventing international laws and precedents because of the mighty dollar. It is absurd. The Bahamas Government must stand for something. We should not be told by an Ambassador, who disgraced our Defence Force and thinks of every Bahamian male as a suspect, to support a resolution against our Cuban brothers, whose blood helped to free South Africa. Comedy cannot describe this request. Madness cannot describe such an attempt by the U.S.
If one day the U.S. dreams that our Minister of Foreign Affairs is a terrorist, he may be arrested and held by the United States without trial at Guantanamo Bay and be tortured. Is that democracy or freedom - U.S. - style?
What is amazing is that five Cubans, namely Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Rene Gonzalez, Fernando Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero were arrested and tried by a Judge in the U.S. who demonstrated against Fidel Castro. Is this transparency? These five Cubans were treated so barbaric that Amnesty International could not believe it. Their lawyers could not even see them. Yet, the Americans have the audacity to condemn Cuba for its recent arrests and executions.
Thousands of Cubans have died as a result of acts of terrorism yet the OAS has not condemned it. This is what we call selective discrimination. The criminals reside in the U.S. and Central America and the U.S. know who they are. The OAS and the United Nations have not made any effort to apprehend these terrorists who killed over 3,000 Cuban citizens. There are groups being trained in the U.S. to inflict terrorist acts against Cuba. Yet Cuba is classified as a terrorist state. This does not add up and it just isn't right.
The U.S. can deem you as a criminal and that is accepted. It is the dictionary of the world. Does The Bahamas want to be caught up in this spider web of nonsense? Please, Mr. Prime Minister Christie do not be manipulated by rhetoric and misleading information for the sake of diabolical control. Stand with CARICOM because Cuba is undoubtedly our brother and cousin never forget that, Mr. Prime Minister.
We must never forget that the U.S. Congress and Senate have never asked forgiveness for the most atrocious crimes of the last century, which was slavery. Spain who was the worst of all in regards to slavery has never gone to the world or the United Nations to ask for forgiveness.
Yet, the U.S. wants us to condemn Cuba. Is it mad? It says freedom and democracy are imperatively its style, which now has Haiti in a perpetual state of economic quagmire. This is freedom U.S. style. Is this an example of democracy in Haiti? Please Mr. Super Power, we don't want your economic and mental slavery - not this time. We know who Machiavelli was and we know your neo-elitist objective. You are the essence of comedy.
When you tell the world and me that you are sorry for what you did to my African ancestors then we can begin to talk. Over 100,00 million Africans died like puppy-dogs.
Thank God we could read. We have sense. Fidel Castro is our hero in the region and the world. We don't care what you say or think about him, Mr. Super Power. You don't feed their people, instead you put an embargo to starve and suppress their people. Do you think we think that you care about them? We know better than that.
Our Bahamians and others in the region and the world are becoming lawyers, doctors and engineers free in Cuba. Thousands have already graduated. Our children are given free health treatment in Cuba. President Fidel Castro exports competent doctors throughout the world, not guns, nor terrorists. President Fidel Castro created over 2,000 institutions, such as medical and engineering institutions, etc. Mr. Super Power, who are you trying to fool about Cuba - the wolf, because you can't fool the world? Not this time.
