The Saxons Superstars are now one step closer to Bay Street; having received proceeds from last Saturday night's opening of Junkanoo 4.0: The Ultimate Fan Festival.
Junkanoo 4.0: The Ultimate Fan Festival is a four-event series designed by the Burns House Group of Companies and Kalik, in conjunction with four major junkanoo groups Saxons, Valley Boys, One Family and Roots to assist the groups in raising much-needed funds for the upcoming Boxing Day and New Year's Day parades.
As the featured junkanoo group of last Saturday night on Butler & Sands grounds, the Saxons performed a pulsating rush-out, to the delight of the more than 2,000 fans who attended the event. At the end of the night, a fatigued but jubilant Toby Austin, back line leader for The Saxons, said since they were the first group out, it was imperative they deliver a stellar performance and set the benchmark extremely high for the other groups.
Junkanoo 4.0 continues on Saturday, November 14, with The Valley Boys, One Family on Saturday, November 28, and Roots on Saturday, December 5. Entrance fees which aid the featured groups of the night, are set at $5 before 8 p.m., and $10 afterwards. The Butler & Sands grounds open at 6 p.m.
The Burns House Group now welcomes The Valley Boys to Butler & Sands grounds and reminds you to always drink responsibly.
