    Examining the issues

By STAFF WRITER ~ Nassau Guardian:

Examining their roles as prophetic people, and looking at more innovative ways of doing ministry will be two of the topics high on the agenda as members of The Bahamas Network of New Apostolic Churches [BNNAC] come together in conference.

On Monday, June 22, leaders from the autonomous churches from Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bluff Andros, United States, Haiti, Singapore and India will gather to examine the church and its mission.

As they go beyond the status quo of just doing church as usual, they will try to find ways to encourage workers in the field, challenge themselves to find ways to involve the whole work force, dissect how to handle distractions properly, and examine ways to stick to the blueprint.

Just as with the Baptist faith where there is the alternative known as Full Gospel Baptist, for many Pentecostal there is a next level of service and experience which meets today spiritual need.

BNNAC also seeks to pool its gifts, resources and experience to network with those of like mind to develop the faith and reap the harvest for the Lord.

This international body is a part of the international apostolic body. It is not a denomination, but a network of believers, connected with bodies around the world. Meetings are held in certain countries of the world to ascertain what is being said by the spirit and how the general members are responding to the work of the church in all areas.

Bishop Cardinal McIntosh of Freeport, Reverend Wander Parker-Frazier and Bishop Ros Davis (host) will speak nightly during the gathering.

Tuesdays session will be geared towards leaders of the churches, while Wednesday will be geared to the women and their ministries and their role in today church.

It is hoped that apostolic ministries will see the need to network with this body of churches as they grew in the grace and understanding of the apostolic.

Persons wishing to be a part of the sessions can call the presiding prelates office at 361-3347 and speak to Bishop Davis.
