"Pastor T." launches new album in concert

"If your dream is to record your very own album, don't give up until you've done it", says Pastor Wilfred Timothy Adderley, better known as "Pastor T."

Some four years ago he recorded his second album (the first was a Christmas album entitled: "Light a candle" 1998). This second album suffered some set backs with the Mix, and was held up for three years with time and finances. However, Pastor T. continued praying and working, so that on June 5th, 2003 he got his first CD's and tapes now available in record stores. This he calls his Father's Day miracle, as his hit song "Daddy you are my hero", played on radio stations such as Love 97, ZNS 1240, 1540, Power FM 104.9; Island FM 102.9, and Joy FM 101.9.

On Sunday, July 27th, 2003, at 7:30 pm at The Good News SDA Church where he pastors, Pastor T. will launch his new Gospel Album entitled: "Songs of Praise". A soft offering will be taken in aid of The church's roof improvement project. CD's and cassette tapes will be available, and a percentage will assist welfare. Come and hear first hand how the Enemy tried to block and stop this production but has been defeated by prayer and faith. Pastor T. will relate experiences of what motivated him to write his original songs such as: (1) God bless you Mother, written in 1984 and revised in 1999; (2) Daddy you are my hero, written in 1998 and revised in 1999; hear him tell how two birds flew down with the tune in answer to his prayer; (3) Jesus I thank you, written in 1986 from the experience of a lady facing divorce and seeking counseling and prayers; (4) Our family, written in 1988 and revised in 1999; this song traces the Bahamian, Caribbean and American black family roots from Africa; (5) Heaven is a real place, written in 1999, looks to the future expectation of the second coming of Jesus Christ. About 20 years ago Pastor T recalls predicting that he would produce his own album of songs as a dimension to his ministry. To God be the glory, it is a reality today.

"With God's blessings, I will work towards writing a song that will place in the Emmys," says Pastor T. Appearing on the program will be other artists such as Harmonious Praise; Dr. Marvin Smith (a former student of Pastor T.); New Providence SDA Youth Choir and The Grants SDA Church Choir, The Good News SDA Choir, and other Soloists. Pastor T encourages all Bahamians with musical talents whether in singing or playing an instrument to write and produce your own works to build up the repertoire of Bahamian works so that the world will have to recognize and applaud Bahamian musicians more.
