Angel Rolle captures Miss Church of God Bahamas & the Turks and Caicos Islands crown

By STAFF WRITER ~ Nassau Guardian:

Angel Rolle, Miss Grand Bahama Church of God was crowned Miss Church of God Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands at the first Miss Church of God Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands Pageant on Sunday at the Church of God Convention Center, on Joe Farrington Rd.

The student at the College of The Bahamas, northern campus, Rolle, enroute to claiming the overall title also won the Miss Congeniality award as well as the award for the Best Float.

On her way to winning the crown, Rolle displayed poise, intelligence and beauty to maximum effect in the grueling two-day affair, where the girls demonstrated not only their talent, but were also required to put their knowledge of church history to test in two rounds of questions in addition to being required to answer an impromptu question.

Competitors came from the length and breadth of the archipelago including from Andros, Cat Island, Abaco, Eleuthera Grand Bahama and several districts within New Providence. Rolle will represent The Bahamas in Tennessee later this year in the international competition.

Farrah Hohnson, from the Greater Chippingham Church, who represented the Little Miss Western District, walked away with the title of Little Miss Church of God.
