Beat the cold before it beats you

Many people never learn enough or think enough of themselves to care for the most wonderful mechanism in the world - their body.

When we buy a new car we carefully follow the directions on how to keep it in the best condition, because we want the most for our investment. Yet the same people through neglect, ignorance, and direct assault ruin the most delicate and priceless piece of equipment they own - themselves.

Nature will make valiant attempts to compensate for the abuse she sustains, but continuous violations of the laws of health brings sickness, pain, and misery.

Here are two important health tips that help you to beat that cold and protect against other diseases. The first very important health tip many are missing that can make a great impact on health is simply drinking water!

Water keeps the cells healthy, provides the vehicle for transporting

important nutrients, hormones and white blood cells throughout the body. It also cleanses, flushes and lubricates the system. Inadequate amounts of water paralyzes the immune system and invite disease.

The lack of water causes us to become dehydrated, constipated and encourage germs and colds to hang on longer. Sweet liquids provide the best environment for germs to grow. Staying away from the sodas and other sweet drinks while drinking moderately of juices and getting lots of water will quickly flush the germs away.

Exercise is the other extremely important health tip that will aid in combating any health problem. It powers the immune system. It lowers blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure, neutralizes stress, and can even bring relief from a tension headache. People who are getting moderate amounts of exercise - 30 minutes 4-5
