The law of Dharma

By D. Paul Reilly

Deepak Chopra, who was born in India, is a Medical Doctor and a bestselling Author of numerous books including 'Ageless Body, timeless mind,' 'Creating Affluence,' 'Quantum Healing' and many more. Today I want to focus on his New York Times #1 bestseller 'The seven spiritual laws of success' which is published by Amber-Allen Publishing of San Rafael, California. Actually, I read a brief summery of one of these seven laws each morning as part of my Spiritual Practice.

As I read last Saturday's Spiritual Law of Success, namely 'The Law of Dharma;' I thought that I should write an article on it.

Let me now quote from Dr. Chopra's book as he wrote about this very important Spiritual Law. "The seventh spiritual law of success is the Law of Dharma. Dharma is a Sanskrit word that means 'Purpose in Life.'

The Law of Dharma says that we have taken manifestation in physical form to fulfill a purpose. According to this law, you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it.

There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world and for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs.

When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence. Expressing your talents to fulfill needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance." WOW! What an exciting thought that really is.

It means in effect, that you My Friend, yes I'm talking directly to you, have some unique talents which God gave you in order to be able to fulfill your purpose on earth. There is indeed an ever present need for your unique talents.

Now, when you use your talents to fulfill these needs, you'll be well on your way to becoming outstandingly rich and indeed fulfilled. So My Friend, you've actually been given a Real Recipe for Success here today, which could bring you both joy and riches, beyond your wildest dreams.

Now, this is how Dr. Chopra instructs us to put The Law of Dharma or 'Purpose in Life' into practice. "#1. Today I will lovingly nurture the god or goddess in embryo that lives deep within my soul. I will pay attention to the spirit within me that animates both my body and my mind. I will awaken myself to this deep stillness within my heart.

I will carry the consciousness of timeless, eternal Being in the midst of time-bound experience.

#2. I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents. When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well as in the lives of others.

#3. I will ask myself daily 'How can I serve?' and 'How can I help?' The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love."

So there you have it My Friend, a very simple, but oh so powerful way of using your God-given talents for the benefit of others, thus making your life full of Real Success, Fulfillment, and Peace of Mind. Please put The Law of Dharma into practice in your life today, and every day for the rest of your life.

THINK ABOUT IT!
