For those with a taste for fine wines, an eye for great artwork and an ear for soothing music, the only place to be on Saturday, Apr. 26 is the Wine, Arts &Jazz Festival.

The one-day festival put on by the Burns House Group and organized by their wine team led by Fabian Fernander and Gregoire Montop will be held at the Poop Deck, Sandyport from 3 to 7 p.m.

While local artists are given an ideal opportunity to showcase their work, it also gives Burns House the chance to expose their wines.

"Patrons will have a chance to experience up to 30 varieties of our wines and relax in a comfortable atmosphere with live jazz is played by the G Note All-Stars as well as partake and sample wine and finger foods," said Fernander.

The works of Eddie Minnis, Kim Smith, Kevin Cooper, John Beadle and Malcolm Ray will be on display, with their paintings, jewellery, sculptures and photography.

Last year, approximately 200 people attended the event, and with it catching on, they are anticipating even more people to be in attendance.

Organizers are encouraging people to come and be a part of the Wine, Arts and Jazz event, because it encompasses all of the elements which make for a relaxing and enjoyable time.

"On the weekend you are always looking for something to do, what better way to relax than to view art and the beach, listen to music and enjoy a glass of wine," Montop said.

The event is not specific to any particular crowd. People who love the arts and people who just want to have a good time should attend. Cost of entry to the event is $20 at the door.
